We set out from the Dead Sea hotels to the entrance of the Small Crater (Makhtesh Katan) through the mighty Ma’ale Tzalfit gate.

We get into the jeeps and start the tour, driving inside the stream to the colorful sands.

We leave the crater along Hatzera stream, stopping on the way for an explanation about plants and animals in desert conditions and for coffee and tea.

We continue down from Hatzera stream to Zin stream, stop at a lookout over its mighty waterfall, and finish on Route 90 at the Arava Junction gas station.
