We set out from the Dragot cliffs and drive north along the cliff, turning off the road to a lookout from the top of the cliff over the Dead Sea and the Einot Tzukim nature reserve.
We hear about the evaporation of the Dead Sea waters, the formation of sinkholes and the freshwater springs.
From here we also see the high waterfall of Tamarim stream. We continue through the upper bed of Tamarim stream and climb from it to the desert plateau and the route of the ancient water cisterns.
We stop for explanations next to water cisterns dating back to biblical times.
We climb to a lookout over the central Judean Desert and its great streams, and descend to Mashash stream – the upper part of Darga stream – via the “Death Turn”.
